Why did it come about?
The beginnings
The organization's founders were naturalists, biologists, and ecologists concerned with the conservation of various species of flora and fauna, and certain places in Almería that did not receive much attention from the authorities. It was essentially born to recover these forgotten species and places and to raise awareness among the population about Almería's rich and unique biodiversity.
A role model
The pioneers in biodiversity conservation in Almería, such as Antonio Cano, Lorenzo García and, above all, José Antonio Valverde, who was part of the CSIC in Almería and has left us a great legacy.

How can I help?
Ways to support
We are a completely independent organization with limited financial resources. We need to increase our income (donations, charity events, etc.) and work materials (binoculars, magnifiers, etc.).
A good habit
Small or discreet things should also be preserved.
Upcoming goals
Objective 1
Increase in membership.
Objective 2
To be considered a public interest organization.
A dream
To achieve protection of the Ribera de la Algaida and make people appreciate arid zones.
